The BPP e.V. (Association of Philatelic Experts) team was kept fully engaged at this year’s stamp fair in Munich. Special thanks go to the fair organizer, Wolfgang Lang of the APHV (Association of Philatelic Experts), who provided us with an excellent booth location. It’s no wonder that the team was practically overwhelmed by visitors seeking advice on Saturday: 130 consultations were recorded by evening – a new record for Munich. The stands of the stamp dealers in Hall 2 were also very busy. In contrast, the flow of visitors on Sunday was rather moderate, with a total of 42 consultations. From noon onwards, the hall was largely empty, likely due to the good weather and the fact that it was election day in Bavaria.

BPP examiners Andreas Goller, Dieter Weinbuch, and Peter Darmietzel at the booth.
The desire for independent and free advice was paramount for those seeking guidance on both days. While hopes for a supposed bargain weren’t always fulfilled, potential losses were averted by providing sound information. This is yet another reason for the BPP e.V. to continue its presence at philatelic fairs.
