A TWO-DAY “EXPERTISERS’ INTENSE STUDY” AT PULLACH

A TWO-DAY “EXPERTISERS’ INTENSE STUDY” AT PULLACH

On 26–27 July 2014 heads were spinning at Pullach near Munich: the BPP invited eight new expertisers who had completed their expertisation exams in 2013 and 2014 to their first training seminar.

The theme of the newly conceived event was the extensive rules and regulations of the BPP, but also tips for the optimal processing of items sent for expertising. “In these two days virtually all the questions that had occurred to me over the past few months have been answered. For us beginners an ideal entry into expertisation work!” said Olaf Hall of Berlin (expertising area: ocean shipping company) regarding the pilot project.

But it was not only the thirteen hours of intensive seminar work that will long be remembered: A Saturday evening together in a typical Bavarian tavern and at mid-day on the Sunday a lunch high above the Isar valley brought the new BPP colleagues closer to one other. “I am extremely satisfied with the two-day event. The participants worked together very well. We will make this introductory seminar an integral part of the education and training our expertisers” said a visibly good-humoured BPP President Geigle as the participants departed.

In September we will see each other again in Berlin. Then, the next training of expertisers is on the agenda.
