Successful BPP training weekend in Bonn
On the last weekend of September the BPP was invited to Bonn, to the “House of Philately”, the seat of the BDPh. Twenty-four active BPP expertisers (and thus almost every fourth member of the BPP) had come to discuss comprehensively for two days “Stamp examination with the help of the computer” and “The preparation of attestations and findings”. The presenters Rolf Tworek, Wilhelm van Loo and Christian Geigle had prepared interesting lectures, supplemented by practical exercises. There were also in-depth discussions, so that at the end of the event all the participants went home satisfied. “Such a training seminar is ideal for our young expertisers”, BPP President Geigle was pleased to say. “They learn from the elders, but they themselves also bring in new ideas and thoughts. I have never seen so many laptops on the tables at a philatelic event!” A repeat event is planned in the coming year.
